TrackMan the Game features 8 fun games devoted to increase the effectiveness and entertainment value of range practice. During the games, players are scored based on their shot results. For all games, players compete in Stroke play and Stableford point formats.
18/18 - 18 holes in 18 minutes is the main game. Players hit 3 shots to each of the 5 TrackMan approach targets and finish up with 3 drives between the driving poles - now that's a time efficient game of golf, not to mention a real test of skill!
18/18 Quick-Play allows players to randomly choose their shot sequence and targets. Players hit 18 shots at any of the five approach targets or any combination thereof - not including the driving zone. The game concludes once 18 shots have been played.
The 9 Shot Challenges focus players on a specific TrackMan target. Players hit 9 shots to a chosen target and their shot results are scored based on performance.
The 9 Drives Challenge is based on an imaginary fairway between the two white TrackMan driving poles. While the objective here is straight and long drives, being straight is rewarded more than being long!
Upon the conclusion of any game, players have the chance to review their scorecard and associated leaderboards. Scoring is done for each shot based on the quality of the shot - the closer to the target, the better the score. The standard scoring progression, from best to worst, is as follows: Eagle (-2), Birdie (-1), Par (E), Bogey (+1), Double Bogey (+2) and Triple Bogey (+3).
Shot analysis is the basic TrackMan application used by tour professionals, instructors, and equipment manufacturers around the world for training, coaching and fitting.
1. Figure out exactly how far you hit any club in the bag.
2. Go through the entire bag for a iron/wedge gapping analysis.
3. Practice hitting high or low shots. (Useful in different weather conditions)
4. Practice starting the ball on line. (a horz. launch angle close to 0 deg.)
6. Practice different spinrates - depending on club and desired trajectory.
7. Work on consistency. Practice repeating the same swing/distance?
8. Does a fuller shoulder turn improve ball speed and distance?
9. Does a new swing technique yield improved results?
Scoring based on distance to target
TrackMan the Game also compiles scores in a Stableford system, which considers a player's handicap in addition to actual shot performance. In the Stableford system, a player with higher handicap will receive more points for a shot result equal to that of a player with lower handicap. This allow players at all levels to compete with each other.
Shot Analysis application
Ideally you will always want to use Shot Analysis when implementing swing changes or simply try to improve your game. Once familiar with the TrackMan numbers, your teaching goals might be partly altered towards reaching a certain amount of e.g. ball speed or spin rate. At this point you will be practicing like the PGA and LPGA Tour players. Do as the pros and let technology help you improve your golf game!
Compare clubs help players find the best equipment for their swing. We've made it quick and easy to compare up to four clubs at a time to learn which one performs best. TrackMan automatically ranks the performance of clubs based on results in the following parameters: carry distance, total distance, side, and dispersion.
Finding the best driver often means determining which club yields the most distance. However, discovering which one flies the straightest and has the lowest dispersion is often just as important. If distance is the desired performance parameter, note that the same driver might not be optimal for both carry distance AND total distance. Players often have to make a choice here. Comparing among different fairway woods, hybrids, irons, and wedges is easy too.

Compare Clubs application
Players now have the opportunity to compare trajectory, distance, spin rate, dispersion and much more for various clubs. Minimizing variance, for both carry and offline, is one of the most important objectives when choosing the right irons and wedges.
